No idea where i got this feeling from but i suddenly want to bake up a storm.

Dunno what's with work. I block out so little days and i only get to work for 2 days a week??? That's messed up. Never mind, i get to bake more which is good. But bad too for i might eat all the muffins... I had the first attempt to bake muffins on wed where i walked all over holland V to this nice little shop which sells only baking stuff! I made blueberry/chocolate chip muffins!(The Betty Crocker mix)

While buying the mix, i saw this blue colouring which made me want to try to bake true blue blueberry muffins! When i was mixing the ingredients i kinda went a little overboard with the colouring and poured, well, copious amounts into the bowl. The ingredients said to bake til golden brown. Well, obviously i couldn't gauage THAT part so i used the toothpick method. Then it came out all nice and bluey!

After that i put the icing on which took FOREVER and added those little edible silver balls... That was the worse part cuz most of them kept falling to the floor and i lost them sugar balls forever. Or at least until my mother wants to do a spring cleaning...

And then VOILA! It was done! It tasted pretty good for my first attempt... I set some aside for tingyun and the rest was for my family. I didn't make much, just about 9 i think. When my mother and my older bro came home, they said that my muffins looked yucky cuz they were BLUE in colour. SO WHAT?!?! At least they tasted good! My father also said, of all the colours, why did i have to choose the "sick" colours of blue or green? He said i should have left it the way it was or at least have chosen a happier colour.

"No one would want to buy a sick colour...."

WHATEVER. Not happy then don't eat la!

ps: Sorry for the no pics part... the muffins were gone before i could take any pictures. But i assure you it was good :D

Sorry for this but i have no mood to blog about anything lately... But i have been a little lazy in uploading photos from wayyyyy back. SOON!!! After... tmr? We'll see....

And yes! Valentine's day passed by without any major casualties! Its sickening to see those lovey dovey couples isn't it?? Well, i manage to spend my valentine's day in a very meaningful way. I went to the old folks home for some volunteer work! I went with my sec sch classmates and the school organized a pet day for the old folks at the lions home for the elderly. Going there really had me change my perspective in life. It was a very meaningful trip where we chatted and played games with the elderly there. It was pretty hilarious with the other girls who were trying to chat with them cuz we all didn't know dialect! As for me, this women kept talking to me in hokkien or cantonese and i didn't understand a word! I just kept nodding and smiling... i bet she thought i was an idiot. We reached the home quite late because of 2 things...

1) A HUGE traffic jam

2) Went to the wrong home.

LOL. No. 2 was quite funny cuz we thought we had reached the place but as it turns out, there was an arrow on the sign that indicated the home was further away than initally thought. So when we saw the sign all of us on the bus cheered and the bus reached this home. Well, it was quite deserted at the entrance. we thought there would be some sort of person standing there to greet us or something. The the bus driver had to turn back and when we saw the sign again, there was the TINY TINY arrow pointing us to go further ahead... -____-'''

When we finally reached the home, we were about 45mins late... The damn jam was so irritating.
After that we went straight to the first floor where we chatted with them.It was quite sad to see some of them who were bed ridden. But i managed to meet some very interesting people. There was this woman who was a teacher in the 1960s and she taught in the kampungs. When i asked her what she taught, she said everything! English maths, science.... We talked about her experience and her son. She even told me about her grandchild and what a good boy he was...

Going there really puts my life into perspective. Would you put your parents in a home? For me, i don't think its fair for them unless circumstances make me do it but as far as possible there is no way i'm putting my parents in a home... Especially when i see my grandpa and grandma living by themselves. They have the option and independence to do whatever and i do feel that people should have the basic right to freedom.

SO moving on... Some pics!!

I stayed at the pan pacific with zhen. and we went for dinner at CHIJMES and then ice-cream at Ben & Jerry's at Dempsy! I wanted to sit on the swing thingy but the stupid people were so slow... Damn them. Then afterwards we went back to the hotel for some games! LOL, at the lobby we saw a man in a bathrobe ONLY! HAHAHHAHAHA!!! He was at the concierge desk next to me and vanessa and it was damn FUNNY! No footwear, just a bathrobe... Nice to know he finds it comfortable :D

Hello all.

Its been a while but then again, i've been feeling tired. How is it that If i sleep for 10+ hrs i get tired throughout the day while when i sleep for 2 hrs i'm energized the entire day??

I must be depleting my sleep account... Have you heard of sleep debt?? Well, read up on it. Its pretty interesting.

So i had my 21st party and all.... I have all the pictures posted up on facebook. I'll blog about them another day when i don't feel so tired.

I would like to thank all those who came to my mini-party! And thanks for all the presents!! Vanessa, i know you were busy so it meant alot that you came...

I would also like to thank Lizzay who is now in NZ, the most thoughtful gift!!!! I can't believe you still remembered!!!! Hope you have a great time in NZ!!

To Zhen who left for aussie today, a HUMONGOUS THANKSSSS!!!! I really appreciated that you came and even stayed over! Its been wonderful having you back here.... Come back soon!!!

YESSSS..... Finally i've reached that age. That age where gambling is finally legal and so is drinking. Well... i think. Anyway today was a pretty good day for my birthday! I had so much fun throughout. So when i woke up this morning, i went to downtown east where i met zhen again to go to WWW!(Wild wild wet) and that's when i received my 1st present from her! BOOKS! :D I love it!!! And it was just what i wanted! Hahahaha, well, i did pick out what i wanted but i told her to surprise me on whatever titles she would pick in the end. At WWW there was almost NO ONE. Seriously. The park was almost empty. Well, what did you expect? School's back on so no one's gonna come down right? The ride to pasir ris was a killer... the journey almost took an hr long...

LOL. We had so much fun there.... There was this ride where you could cycle around on a high ledge.. forgot what is was called. So me and zhen decided to go on it cuz it looked like fun! So we climbed all the way up to the place. Btw, me and zhen are afraid of heights... So when we were off it felt so scary!!! We were leaning towards the middle and every time we made a turn or even when we heard a squeak coming from the bicycle, we started to scream. It was hilarious!! We were the only 2 people screaming on the bicycle. Like :"OMG, OMG,OMG, THIS WAS SUCH A BAD IDEA", "AAAHHHHH!!! I WANT TO GET DOWN NOWWWWW!!!" and "MY INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER THIS" & oh yes. Also "I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!! I JUST TURNED 21 AND I'M GOING TO DIE" were some of things we or I probably screamed.

So after WWW i had dinner with my family at the copthorne for some buffet and boy was it filling! We had so much to eat that in the end, we only cut the cake but didn't eat anything. And on to the most important part of the evening... PRESENTS.

Gotta say that the haul this time was pretty good! I had many wonderful presents but there was this one that stood out. Why??

It came in a little blue bag.

With a little blue box with a white silk ribbon around it.

WHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHA!!!! You know in the movies where they show any actresses getting that blue box for the first time and their faces are so excited and they just couldn't control their hands?!?!? MY GOODNESS IT WAS A COMPLETE HIGH!!!!! Throughout the night i couldn't keep my eyes off the bag... i was itching to get home and open it!! Let me tell you.... I WASN'T DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I love the feeling of opening a tiffany box... its really... i don't know the exact words but "magical" closely describes what i feel. Seriously.. like that kinda WHAAAA feeling! As for what i got??? DUN TELL YOU.

Other presents i got was pretty good too! I have this perfume from Salvatore Ferragamo which smells GOOOOOOOD....

Hehe... tmr is when i officially turn 21! YAY!

I mean...hmm. Dunno leh. Never really liked my birthdays before. But this one is turning into something which i can't possibly stand.

I have to confirm the no. of people and its so damn hard cuz people aren't replying. Like wtf?

Honestly, don't know what to do. Thank god not a big group is coming...

Ok, on to presents. What do i want? Here's a mini list!

-Unless you know my size, have been to a changing room with me and know specifically my measurments, please DO NOT GET CLOTHES.

- I like those noise cancelling headphones!

- BOOKS! To play it safe, Jeffery Deaver and Stephen King are the safest choices. But the only genre i like to read is Crime/Mystery/thriller.

- I don't wear jewellery

- hmm... dunno what else to write....

Oh well, now onto another problem. WHAT TO DO ON THAT DAY?!?!?

After dinner its a complete blank. How about clubbing? To be honest, i don't want to.... But then, what to do?!?! AHHH... see first la...

Had an outing with zhen. The 2nd day in a row... LOL. The first day i met with a REALLY old classmate of mine called samantha! I haven't seen her in about 9 yrs+ and she really matured.. ALOT compared to me :S hahahaa...Then we watched the movie bride wars. Its was really good! The movie was very touching yet funny.

THEN, there was day 2.

It was more eventful and definitely more... how should i put it? Scary? Dunno la, but throughout the day i felt creeped out. See, i met up with zhen again and another old primary school classmate whom i've not met for 9yrs or so. Should i put his name?? Ah fuck it. If its on this post he knows its him. So his name is Robin. And we went to cine. Originally zhen was supposed to meet him alone but she didn't want to so she asked me to tag along. He was supposed to bring another classmate of ours but when we reached there, the other classmate couldn't make it so it was him, me and zhen. HAHAHHAHAHAHHAA!!! SO AWKWARD. Throughout the entire time dunno what to chat about. And to be honest i didn't feel like talking much or revealing too much info. So we ended up watching the movie The Changeling. It was a good movie but the length was a little too long. And then after that me and zhen went to Zara to shop. I don't mean to be bad but robin wanted to come along!!!!

EEEWWW.

HE WANTED TO COME TO ZARA.

How sickening is that?? So zhen tried to "get rid" of him first by emphasising that it was a girls trip and we would be looking at a bunch of girly stuff which he wouldn't like. He said it was "Ok." He didn't mind tagging along!!!!!!

EEEEEEEEWWWWWW.

So when THAT didn't work, i tried my way and told him we were gonna go home after our shopping trip and also that zhen wanted to come to my house to say that we will be going home together. And I think he might have either really needed to meet his friends or he got the hint. Which means that he left!

YAY!

Like i said, i don't mean to be mean. But i don't want to hang out with him. Ever. It was weird enough the first time.

SO, on to Zara~!

Went to try on a few dresses and shirts. I think i might be addicted to zara's sales. But nevermind my addiction for now. So i tried on this dress which i wasn't sure about.

But zhen liked it! So i said i would take a picture just in case i didn't get it and i wanted the memory of the dress. It cost $129 no sale size Large (hint hint)*.

Then after shopping for hrs we finally went to makan at Sakae Sushi. We were starving! I think theres a pattern. Whenever we meet its always,

Then: Go to restaurant
After: Super full.

We kinda always overstuff ourselves and today was no exception.

Zhen ordered the Kimchi ramen which was quite good but very spicy... YUMMY though! The bowl was damn big though.
