Happy CNY! For you at least.
Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 9:42 PM
Hello All. This came a little late but happy CNY. It ushers in the year of the ox. And if you look hard enough, many people are using this year to start the corny spelling of "NIU" year. Yeah. The zoo included.
On the 1st day of cny i had to work cuz i forgot when was CNY. So yes. I HAD TO WORK. In where? Ticket booth la. With a newbie no less. But nevermind. I trained him early in the morning and in the end he was ok. I think its bad for me to train people because i'm quite impatient and can be short tempered. If you don't do it right the 2nd time i will flair up. Thus training these 2 people was a headache for me. I had to constantly check my temper and make myself calm before i could proceed to anything because the tendency to shout and scream: "ARE YOU STUPID?!?!?" or "YOU STILL DON'T KNOW ASSHOLE?!?!?!" came into my thoughts one too many times. I don't mean to be bad or anything, but this one guy got on my nerves so bad i had a headache at the end of the day trying to train him. I'll call him X.
Ok, so X is older than me and has been in the zoo for a lot longer than me. So when i trained him i had to CONSTANTLY correct him, check over to make sure he was ok, and had to keep checking to see if what he did was right. Fucking shit. I had the worst headache at the end of it all. After i taught X all of it, he STILL CAN MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE FOR 7-10 TIMES OVER. NOT ONLY DID I HAVE TO KEEP REMINDING HIM IN A POLITE VOICE, I HAD TO KEEP CORRECTING HIS GODDAMN MISTAKES. OMG, my temper was so bad i could have killed anyone with my words. I had to keep calming myself down but at one point i almost shouted at him when he made the same mistake AGAIN. I don't care if you're old or my senior. Get it right.
Not only that. When he was alone in the tbth and AFTER i taught him everything again, he could still make a huge mistake my logging on to the wrong system.... MY GOD. Another thing is that he likes to hit the machine like it offended him or what. i told him MANY MANY times over and fucking over again, don't hit it so hard. He said the old machine is not very sensitive and the mouse was better. Oh Yes. And X also said that the machine was gonna end up like the old machine. WELL FUCK YEAH IT WILL END UP LIKE THAT DUMB-ASS MACHINE WITH THE WAY YOU'RE TREATING IT. I felt so sorry for the machine... "TACK-TACK" was how X hits the buttons. Like a punching bag. WHAT THE FUCKING HELL.
Today again. After i told him AGAIN, countless times to wait for a senior to come by and sign off BEFORE X can give a refund, he apparently "forgot". WTF. serious shit la. I cannot ta-han. I want to punch his stupid grin off his fucking face. But i gotta chill. I can understand if the first 1 or 2 times you don't get it right but this is COUNTLESS of times. COUNTLESS. I feel mad just typing out this story. FUCK YOU. DON'T WORK BETTER. OH GAWD. If i have to train X again, i dun care, i'm gonna shout. I've raised my voice a few times with X but never to the full decibel. The first person I trained was this foreigner and let me tell you. she got the basics fast. When i was training her, she got one mistake and i SCREAMED at her. And guess what? She got better. She is now good at it and i never needed to shout at her again. Thank god for that. If this person doesn't shape up i don't care who the hell he is. He's gonna get an earful from me.
Another thing is when people are slow, I HATE SLOWNESS. So when transacting money, ok, can la, be a little slow because you're careful. BUT if you're slow ALL the time. That's when i draw the line. Like for example, The line is already damn long and yur taking yur time to ask questions???? Can hurry up or not? Also, when i ask you to CONFIRM what they want. ASK THEM. Like one time...
Customer (C): I'd like 6 carousel tix
X: Ok, that would be $24
Me: Wait, for how many children? (Because accompanying adults go on free)
C: Oh i have 3 child and 3 adults to accompany the child.
Me: Blah blah... (abt accompanying adults go on free)
C: oh. Ok thank you.
X: So how many child?
Me: 3 child.
X: For what ride?
Me: Carousel (getting pissed off.)
X: Ok. (Starts to click 3 horse carriage)
X: That will be $18 please.
Me: Looks questioningly at the screen.
C: starts to take out money
Me: (Already trying to simmer down) Are you sure its carousel?
X: (still confident) Yeah 3 carousel... Oh wait. Yeah. (clicks the correct button) 3 carousel is $12.
MY GOODNESS. Can get headache one right??? Fuck. 1 person took about 5 mins when i usually take like 2 or less.
I bet people out there are like, "But he's new" "He doesn't know much" or"Give him time."
FUCK YOU. You so smart, work with that asshole.
One more thing to end off this long post... COUNTLESS. I TOLD X COUNTLESS OF TIMES. IF YOU GET IT WRONG SO MANY TIMES, ITS EITHER YOU ARE A MORON OR AN ASSHOLE.
The last day of our lives

Ending RP was the greatest feeling...
Until i realized i forgot to do my RJ in time... Dumb man.
So anyways yesterday was the end of 3yrs in that ice-cold hell. I'm finally graduating from RP. I hate that school and i'll be glad to never go back.
But there are somethings that I'll definitely miss....
Last pic i'll ever take with shirley alone... LOL
Cheryl Loon bin ladin has been a great fyp partner and a great classmate! Have fun in bali!
And lastly, the few STA people that were left in the building on that sunny Friday afternoon of 23rd Jan 2009.
All in all, the 3 yrs that i've been in RP has had its ups and downs but i would never regret meeting the people there. Its been fun and i find that throughout it all, some friends who do make the effort to keep in touch with you is someone true. Compared to those who become your BFF's in one sem and forget you the 2nd. Thankfully for me, i managed to find 2 good and true friends in RP. LIZ & HJ, remember to always keep in touch ok!!!
Cheers to the present, our future and lastly, Hope the laughter and the happiness never ends!
Bye RP.
The bestest friends i could ever ask for.
On a fine day, i feel fine.

Went to Yuki & Yaki today with Zhen and it was the 2 F's. FUN and FILLING.
The restaurant at Marina Square which was a LONG walk from City Hall... Esp long if you're hungry like hell. So when we finally went there, we rushed towards the food area and took as much as we wanted and cooked it.. FOOD + HUNGER = PURE GOODNESS. Which i'm sure everyone would agree.
So about this place, you can actually cook the ice-cream. What we did was to pour this little cups of ice-cream mixture into the plate and let the mixture slowly freeze into ice-cream. The last time i went they had all the sucky flavours like strawberry which smelt like smelly armpits and tasted worse and some stupid green tea which tastes like powder. So this time we took mainly raspberry, chocolate and mint. The tiramisu was a HUGE mistake. Tastes horrible. And to accompany our ice-cream was a huge amt of chocolate chips :D
Peppermint with TONS of chocolate chips
"cooking" the ice-cream
HAHHAHA!
Zhen's crazy face... Too high on ice-cream.
MY GOODNESS. We ate like there was no tomorrow... We kept stuffing our faces with so much food. And we also managed to say that it was no problem eating the ice-cream... Because you know what they usually say. There's always room for desert!
After 7 cups of ice-cream, we felt so full we were about to burst. Turns out eating desserts has its limits. URGH. Really really felt like puking....
Another thing that was really annoying was the stupid guy who sat next to us. Through our first few cups of ice-cream he kept staring at us and talking abt us to his guy friends... EEEEEE. Asshole. We could hear everything he said... thank god he left soon after.
You know how marina square is always so cold? Don't know why today's air-con was esp lethal... It was freezing cold when we shopped around... We walked into world of sports and that place was like a bloody freezer. It felt like the chill had spread to our bones before we finally got out of there.. YAY!!!
BTW, I hope people, you can make it for a birthday dinner! Keep the 5th - 7th free ok?!?!?!?!
Tiring...

Oh dear, today after only getting 3 hrs of sleep i managed to wake up... Not in a good mood. Neither did i want to... But that's always happening so no big deal about it. But the good thing about work is that it clears your mind. Slowly you start to wake up and feel refreshed which is something i like about it. Although it might seem long and draggy to get there, but when i start, i enjoy what i do.
Yesterday was spent at work again, but after work went to the office to decorate it for CNY. It was fun!!! So many different hong bao's were strewn across the table. Food like brownies and cakes were there too and there was tons of music and laughter. As cheesy as that sounded, i had so much fun making lanterns and catching up. The lanterns on the other hand... i had to remember back in the good ole days where we were taught how to make lanterns from scratch. Mine looked kinda weird though... HAHAHHAHAHHA
Then DINNER.... OMG. Real food tastes good... by the time i got home it was almost midnight so i bathed, checked my emails and went to bed. which was ard 2? Then this morning i woke up at 5 but until now i don't feel all that tired. Fantastic man!!!
OH YES!!! HAHAHHA! Today whoever this person lala is decided to act smart and "preach" to me the importance of playing cluedo... WHATEVER. :D
Happy smiles all around!!!!
Republic Polytecnic... Good or Bad

You should watch the video.. It talks about some interesting things about RP.
1) Timing
Year 1: 8.30
Year 2: 9.15
Year 3: 10.00
2) Curriculum
attachment in final yr & Yr 1 modules will change reduced to 8
Each diploma intro core discipline (unique to the school)
UT timing changing. Making it longer
3) Own students talking crap about RP.
Hmm... let me see.... Of course, all these changes are made after i graduate of course.
Why didn't they manage to do these sooner??/ Esp for the fucking UT which i have virtually no time to complete it. Well, in yr 1 that is...
And as for the curriculum, they are finally changing it. Thank effing goodness... Stupid school. I hate it. Esp STA modules... NOT CHALLENGING. Want an example??
MODULE: Interactive Entertainment
A VERY good example of why the module SUCKS.
This is what the Faci had to say about that day's problem:
In this week’s lesson, we explored the satisfying power to take meaningful action and see the results of our decisions and choices as players. Using the game as a launch pad, you were tasked to explore mechanical gears that made the game work out.
This feeling of empowerment that comes from being able to take actions in the (virtual) world whose effects relate to the player’s intention. It depends on what’s going on in the interactor’s head, on what’s communicated between the technical system and the person, not only on technical facts like counting the number of system actions that are available at each moment.
One such mechanic is the partial transformation of the game into a theatrical-like play, where the players’ roles have evolved from a token to dynamic scriptwriters and actors. Each level of evolution is governed not solely by the player’s decision making process, but by game progression and judgments based on other players’ decisions as well.
WOW... sounds so cheem right?? Now, what could we have possibly done that could possibly be so darn meaning ful that made me learn SO MUCH about games in general??
We played cluedo. Over and over again.
OH YES. Then, what did we do after that?
We talked about how it engaged players.
Fan-fucking-tastic.
No wonder i don't show up for lessons.
And yes people. This was what i spent ONE WHOLE DAY DOING. SOLVING A PROBLEM THAT HAS ADDLED THE ENTIRE WORLD FOR CENTURIES. SOLVING A PROBLEM IN THE WORKFORCE THAT HAS PLAGUED GAME MAKERS FOR CENTURIES ON END.
BY PLAYING CLUEDO. REPEATEDLY.
Isn't that great?? I find that my brain cells have been slowly dying off one by one million ever since i entered this school. Now, another thing that the principal addressed was....
Own students talking crap about RP.
Well, why not? If there was a problem which we might feel strongly about it, won't we want to voice our opinion about it? And i know change takes time but this is ridiculous. It took 6 years or more for the students to complain to finally get their voices heard this year?
Sigh, whatever it is, i'm graduating soon.. Hopefully. I hope i don't fail in one of the classes... :D
National Geographic rocks
Saturday, January 17, 2009, 11:17 PM
You gotta love NG. Have you been to their store?? Its located at Vivo city and it is F-U-N! I went with liz there, originally we were supposed to watch a movie but because of my oral defense which was delayed, we ended up just walking around and shopped. ANYWAY... back to National Geographic store... AMAZINGLY FUN. There were all these items you could touch and play with, the dressing area looks great, and of course... THE WIND CHAMBER. Its for you to test out their jackets and how great it is.
Of course then, i had to go in! So i tried on a jacket and went inside... BEST TIME EVER!!! It was about -3.5 degrees inside and i went in with just the jacket... It was so cold i felt like my face was about to freeze off!! But the jacket... WOW. Even though the rest of my body was freezing, my upper body stayed warm throughout... GO THERE and just try out the machine... its amazing!
And yes, FYP 2 IS OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Happy as I am, i need my rest now. The time is over, and finally, we are FREE!!! Gonna graduate soon and say bye bye to this rotten school! HAHHAHAHHA... Now all that's left to wonder is if i will skip the last 2 lessons... :D
National Geographic store ROCKS!!! GO THERE.
Sch is ending soon!
Thursday, January 15, 2009, 11:04 PM
Yes, sch is coming to an end.
No more PBL(well, who knows? HOPEFULLY), no more routine timing, not much more of shitty backstabbing people and preferbly, no more idiotic modules.
Well, i won't look forward to working life then.
I hate monotony and this is killing me. I want a job that i can travel around the world, stay at the best hotels, eat the best food, go on an adventure every other day! If only that job existed... wait, i think discovery channel has that job...
I really have NO idea what i want to do in the future and that kinda scares me... Damn.
Right now i hope to at least get into a good school.... PLEASE!
Fun day out!
Saturday, January 10, 2009, 11:28 PM
Phew...today was a great day! Went out with liz and we went shopping and watched movies. 2 of my favorite things! We went to watch Yes man starring Jim Carrey and it was damn funny!! Too bad the woman gave us such lousy seats but we self-changed it and the view was great!!! HAHAHHA!!!! Watch Yes man if you want a good laugh!
And finally... Pics!
This photo, although blurry, makes me laugh when i see it... This man was sleeping under the sign bloodz and it looked like he was dead until he woke up... HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!! Like he kena murdered and his body was put underneath the sign!!!

Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 10:22 PM

A friend of mine was telling me a joke when i almost choked on one. You know the crooked end? Well, I've decided to eat that part first.
TAKE THAT YOU STUPID HOLIDAY TREAT....
SALES ARE AWESOME
, 9:25 PM
That's right!
SALES ARE AWESOME
There i said it. And to top it off, i went to Zara to shop for some stuff. Items which i would normally NOT buy has been made cheaper due to a SALE there.
I'm obsessed with sales... Talking about which, i was with my best buddy at PP when i spotted a sale sign... Even though i urgently needed to go to the toilet, i spent half and hr or more trying on clothes and in the end, i bought a long skirt which touches the floor for only $8.
That's right people!!! $8!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOO!!! You have gotta love SALES.
And my mother... she went for a facial but then, she went to the zara sale which she then told me about. I was so antsy at work. I wanted to go SHOPPING instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So today i bought 2 shirts which i LOVE, and i HUGE bag which i also LOVE!!!!! (I'll be bringing the bag to school tmr :D)
Btw, school is starting tmr for me... URGH. Hate to go there... but alas, i will be graduating soon... and turning 21!! AAHHHHHH!!! TOO FAST!!! I still need more time!! I'm panicking cuz i'm scared that no school will accept me with my lousai grades... Damn
Moving on, I have something important to share with you guys!!!
I'm gonna sound like a bimbo here,
But any sale is so totally worth it...

HAPPY 2009!!!
Thursday, January 1, 2009, 1:03 AM
Well, 2009 is upon us now... gosh hasn't it been too fast?? 08 has whooshed by and now we are celebrating the start of the new year.
I guess as per tradition, i shall state out my New year resolutions
1. LOSE WEIGHT
2. Be less of a pushover
3. Grow more confidence
4. Throw away my inhibitions and socialize more
Yeap! I guess those are what i aim to achieve in 2009... Hopefully if i can't complete all i can at least complete no. 1...
And to 2008, cheers to both the good and the bad! I wouldn't trade you for anything else because the experience you taught me made me who i am today.
